Together with the conversation teacher and author, Sarah Fitzgerald Hobel, we will explore the different settings from her novel. A meet & greet of a special kind and especially for Zermatt lovers! The book was written in English and the whole event will be held in English.
Cost contribution: CHF 200 per person for conversation in English over the entire weekend and personal guidance from the author.
Additional costs: hotel room, meals, train tickets and, if applicable, admission tickets for the Matterhorn Museum or Gorner Gorge.
Check-in at the Hotel Sonne in Zermatt is at 11: 00 am on Saturday. We will then go on a short hike to Stellisee and Adler Hitta, where we will have something to eat together. There is a lovely wellness area in the Hotel Sonne and you can make good use of it and relax until dinner. At 8.00 pm, the group will meet for a tapas dinner at Hotel Sonne and round off the evening. On Sunday, the tour starts at 10.00 am in front of the hotel. Sarah takes us on a short journey through her novel for about 3 hours. We will experience different settings of the novel up close and listen to the corresponding ‘readings’. Of course, questions can be put to the author at any time. The tour takes us from the village up to the Blatten mountain restaurant, where we have lunch. There are wonderful views of the Matterhorn along the way. If you still have energy after lunch and don’t want to set off on the journey home straight away, you can take the route via the Gorner Gorge or stop by the Matterhorn Museum in the village. Let us know what you would like us to book for you in advance.

After check-in, we will embark on a relaxing hike to the picturesque Stellisee and the charming Adler Hitta, where we will have lunch together.
4:00 PM – 7:30 PM – Wellness at Hotel Sonne
Take some time after the hike to unwind in the wellness area of Hotel Sonne and let your mind and body relax.
8:00 PM – Group Tapas Dinner at Hotel Sonne
The group will gather for a tapas dinner at Hotel Sonne to end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere.
Sunday, August 31st
10:00 AM – Literary Tour with Sarah
Meeting point: In front of Hotel Sonne
Sarah will take us on a three-hour journey through her novel. We will visit various settings from the book, accompanied by readings and the opportunity to ask the author questions.
1:00 PM – Lunch at Bergrestaurant Blatten
After the tour, we will enjoy a group lunch at Bergrestaurant Blatten, with breathtaking views of the Matterhorn.
